June 29: week 8 1/2i was off to Tuscany to meet up with my BFF Lauren, her mom, aunt & cousin. it was a short visit, 3 days to make the rounds of villages - but it was simply breathtaking. No shortage of old buildings, castles, vineyards, fabulous food and gorgeous views of every city.
highlight moment? 3 american girls getting the rental car stuck in a ditch 5 miles from our villa. hunting down help after trying to dig ourselves out of clay. a pack of farm workers saving the day & towing us out....all started with a simple sunflower photoshoot.
baby card must have loved it, because i stayed pretty well balanced and had enough energy to walk all the towns. as long as i had food to fuel (mostly pasta), everything was great :-)
